the M3 and M4. It is approximately 1.5 hours from London and 2.5 hours
from Birmingham. As a 'real drivers circuit', the Thruxton circuit is one of the fastest
and longest in the UK at 2.4 miles per lap. Thruxton boast's legendary
high speed corners and a great reputation.
Like many race circuits Thruxton was originally a wartime airfield.
Commissioned in 1941 the airfield was host to both the RAF and USAF and
played a major part in the D-Day landings. In 1968 a new layout was created ignoring the old runways but followed
the lines of the perimeter road and added the chicane and further round
the track three corners in quick succession, thus creating what we know
now as Thruxton motor sport circuit. Thruxton driving experience days
